Year after year right around this time, we pause to think and contemplate about the things we are thankful for. There is always something to be thankful for if we take the time to look around and take stock, and quite honestly, once a year is simply not enough times to take that stock. I have actually been spending time pausing daily and I am simply blown away with how much I have to smile about.  I would write a book if I try to put every single thing I'm thankful for on paper, so I'll make things simpler by putting them into categories along with a brief summary. So here goes;

This year I am especially thankful for my family. Last year December my mother passed away after being ill for a while. Taking care of her took a toll on my sister and I but it was more taxing and painful to lose her. I think about her every single day, sometimes I cry and other times I smile from the memories. As a family we all pulled together and stayed in each others corner, and were there when we needed each other the most. The experience has been nothing short of priceless. I wouldn't have made it this far without their amazing love and support. Mom was big on family, very warm and expressive, and I'm thankful that we have been able to keep that light shining.

Next, I am truly thankful for being able to get up each and every day and do what I love-help women feel the power of their sensuality! With all the many hats we wear, life can definitely rob us of that overall feminine feeling. I'm sure you probably had that ‘is-this-all-there-is-˜ syndrome creep up on you a few times this year and you were ready to throw in the towel. However, you boldly faced those challenges with such dignity and royalty and rose to the occasion again and again.  I am thankful that Velvet Queen was able to be a part of your life as you stood strong and bold and showed the world who really is the boss.

Most preciously, I am thankful for you and your continued support of Velvet Queen.
